Abstract

In the industrial revolution 4.0 era, the existence of the scientific culture of the Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools is at stake. In addition, if Islamic boarding school owners fail to maintain and adapt. This study aims to describe and analyze the scientific culture of Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools in the industrial revolution 4.0 era. The research method is in the form of library research. Sources of data, in the form of primary data sources and secondary data sources. The data analysis technique is in content analysis; after the data is collected, it is analyzed, and a conclusion is drawn. The results of this study found that the existence of the scientific culture of Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools rests on two things: istiqamah on the unique characteristics of Salafiyah boarding schools and adaptation to progress, that is, by being a boarding school self. This finding confirms that many Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools still need to have distinctive characteristics and are adaptive to changes in science and technology according to the demands of society. The recommendation is that Kiai of Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools should maintain their Salafiyah characteristics or ensure the attributes of their Islamic boarding schools while adapting to progress in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.
