Abstract

Classical Islam reached a multidimensional peak of glory. Muslims became the rulers of the world, while the West experienced a decline and even remained behind. This triumph of Islam started from the period of pioneering, growth, development, and glory. But the next phase of defeat after defeat occurred in the Islamic world which was the cause of the decline until now which has not shown significant progress. The method used by the author in this research is literature, through primary data reading relevant references. This study goes through the steps of testing the manuscript through discussion, criticism, suggestions, improvement, and finalization. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the object of epistemology is a barren dimension of Islamic studies, especially fiqh. Therefore, this movement of thought should be a method constructed to seize a strategic position in an effort to advance Islamic civilization.
