Evaluasi Pelaksanaan Undang-Undang Nomor 18 Tahun 2019 tentang Pesantren di Ma’had Aly Al-Tarmasi Pondok Tremas Pacitan pada Tahun 2023

Abstract

Law Number 18 of 2019 concerning Pesantren is the government's recognition of the existence of pesantren whose existence existed before the Republic of Indonesia was born. Ma'had Aly, which is a college-level educational institution in the Islamic boarding school environment, is expected to maintain the treasures of Islamic educational institutions with their specificity, while also having to be willing to open up to the modern education system sourced from outside the pesantren. The purpose of this study is to describe the evaluation process in the implementation of Law Number 18 of 2019 concerning Islamic Boarding Schools in Ma'had Aly Al Tarmasi Pondok Tremas Pacitan in 2023. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it was concluded that: (1) the implementation of the Pesantren Law in Ma'had Aly was less effective in fulfilling quality education by maintaining the distinctiveness of pesantren; (2) policy implementation has not been efficient in improving the quality of education in Ma'had Aly; (3) the implementation of the policy has not been sufficient to increase Ma'had Aly resources needed to equate Ma'had Aly with Higher Education Institutions in Indonesia; (4) The implementation of the policy is sufficient to reach various elements contained in Ma'had Aly; (5) the government's responsiveness in implementing policies is good enough in fulfilling the completeness of regulations and quality assurance of Ma'had Aly; (6) The implementation of the policy is right on target to achieve a quality Ma'had Aly.
