Abstract

The alternation of day and night is one of the signs of Allah's power frequently mentioned in the Qur'an. This study aims to examine Qur'anic verses on this phenomenon using a thematic and scientific tafsir approach. The research employs a qualitative library-based method with primary sources including the Qur'an and classical tafsir works such as those by Al-Tabari and Al-Qurtubi, as well as contemporary interpretations like Tafsir Al-Mishbah. The scientific analysis connects the interpretation of the verses with astronomical data concerning Earth's rotation, orbital dynamics, and biological implications. The findings reveal that these verses not only convey theological messages about the oneness and power of Allah but also align with scientific principles explaining the mechanism of day and night alternation. This study highlights the importance of integrating Qur'anic exegesis and modern science to strengthen both spiritual and rational understanding in Islam.
